The user spreads gunpowder changed by chakra around the area they are fighting and uses flint attached to their molars to ignite the powder to create their own version of katon. Using this skill requires the user to take note of the way the wind is blowing, and battle tactic experience good enough to predict the next movement of their enemy and know the area that their teammates and gunpowder is so they don't accidentally get blown up.
